建築物は、快適性・機能性に加え、安全性が要求されます。このため、設計の段階から消防同意制度を通じ、建築物の防火など消防用設備等の設置に関する審査及び指導を行っています。
　また、建築物の竣工時や用途変更時等においては、届出に基づき、防火に関する基準に適合しているか検査を行い、建築物の防火安全に努めています。

  When constructing a building, attention must be directed to safety and disaster preparedness as well as amenity and convenience. From a planning stage, the TFD provides inspection and guidance on fire safety and fire protection installation through a building plan approval process.
  On receipt of the report on the completion of a building or the change of its use, the TFD inspects the building to see if it conforms to safety regulations.

　危険物施設を設置・改修等する際には書類審査による許可、現場での完成検査等を行います。また、危険物の流出等の事故が発生した場合には、原因を究明し、再発防止を図るなど、危険物施設の総合的な安全確保に努めています。

  The TFD also ensures the safety of hazardous materials facilities. In case of foundation or remodelling, hazmat facilities are required to submit necessary documents to and obtain permission from the fire department, and are also subject to the fire service approval after our on-site inspection of buildings that fully constructed. In addition, in case of hazmat leakage, the TFD investigates the causes to prevent more of such accidents.

　建物や危険物施設などに立ち入って、防火管理、消防用設備の維持管理などの状況を検査します。
　重大な違反には行政処分などを実施し、早期改善を促進しています。また、社会的に重大な行事や特に混雑が予想される催し物が開催される時などにも、火災予防査察を実施しています。

  The TFD personnel inspect buildings and hazardous materials facilities to see if fire safety is properly managed and fire protection equipment is well maintained. If serious violations are found, they issue administrative sanctions and urge early improvement. They also conduct fire prevention inspection at the time of major events where a large crowd is expected.
