放射性物質、生物剤、危険物や毒劇物などの特殊災害に備え、質量分析装置などの高性能な資機材を積載した特殊災害対策車、救助車、ロボット等の装備により、有機的に活動する第三消防方面本部消防救助機動部隊を配置しています。
　また、化学災害を専門とする化学機動中隊を配備し、化学物質の特定、人命救助や除染等の消防活動を展開しています。

  The TFD responds to the special incidents caused by radioactive materials, biological agents, hazardous materials and toxic substances. In the 3rd Fire District, the Fire Rescue Task Forces are deployed to tackle disasters in a professional manner with a special incident van (with high-technology tools like a mass spectrometer) and a firefighting robot. There are also the Hazardous Materials Units for chemical emergencies. These forces and units identify chemical substances, perform rescue operations and conduct decontamination.

	ＮＢＣ災害対策用資機材 Equipment for NBC incidents
	高性能な資機材として、可搬型の質量分析装置（GC-MS）や赤外線分析装置（FT-IR）を配置し、より迅速な測定が可能になりました。   Portable gas chromatograph mass spectrometers (GC-MS) and infrared spectrometers (FT-IR) are deployed for prompt measurement.

　集中豪雨などによる、家屋の浸水被害や地すべり、河川の氾濫などの水害が予想される場合には、被害を最小限に抑えるため、消防職員や消防団員を招集し、直ちに警戒体制に入ります。

  Career/volunteer firefighters are notified and put on the alert against flood damage to houses, landslides, overflown rivers, etc. when danger is imminent.
